Animal Health Company Provides Valuable Destination Point for Increasingly Mobile Customers, Delivering the Right Content at the Right Time and Location

BOSTON, Mass. – September 15, 2015 – Bigtincan, a leader in mobile content enablement, today announced that Zoetis, the global leader of animal health pharmaceuticals, has selected the Bigtincan Hub from AT&T to create VHub®, a content aggregation and engagement platform for its mobile customer base. The VHub collaborative solution provides veterinarians with direct access to relevant, educational content they can leverage in near real time via their mobile devices.

With veterinarians increasingly using smartphones and tablets to access information in the field, Zoetis wanted to provide a platform that would transform the way its customers work by providing instant access to medical information and business resources virtually wherever they are. The bigtincan hub from AT&T is a mobile content enablement platform that puts content in context, securely delivering the right content to the right user based on role, time, location, association and/or event with all the automation and tools needed in one integrated platform.

VHub users are first asked a short list of questions, such as where they live, what species they work with and what areas within the industry are of most interest. The experience is then customized for them, delivering information that’s of most interest to the individual user and saving them valuable time by eliminating the need to search multiple websites to access relevant content. Along with industry-specific materials and access to CattleFax, the hub also delivers other information including weather, sports and market data all in one easily accessible place.

“Our customers are extremely busy and often struggle to find the right content when they need it because, to date, there has not been one aggregated, central location for veterinary professionals to access, particularly when they’re in the field,” explained Ed Stening, International Head of Digital Strategy & MultiChannel Marketing, Zoetis. “Through our collaboration with bigtincan and AT&T, we’ve developed a true destination point for our customers that delivers all the information they want, as opposed to a rehash of our corporate website. With VHub, we give them a place to start their day, save them time by giving them online and offline access to the information they need, and enable them to be more effective at and successful in their jobs.”

Within VHub, users can access peer-reviewed journal articles, protocols from veterinary authorities, animal health news, disease reports, dosage instructions, industry news and other relevant information from one centralized location. They can also consult and collaborate with colleagues and peers in near real time. In addition, the hub allows users to easily share content with clients, including visual aids like photos and illustrations to explain medical conditions or procedures. Zoetis is able to obtain valuable insights around which content is most valuable to its customers while ensuring that the intellectual property within the hub is protected and unwanted replication is prevented.

“By taking advantage of our mobile content enablement platform, Zoetis has created an extremely valuable tool for its customers to improve business processes and productivity,” said Patrick Welch, President and COO of bigtincan. “Zoetis is the first to deliver a collaborative tool to the veterinary industry, empowering users to maximize time with clients in the field, engage with peers and access relevant content from one central location.”

“One of our main goals in this solution is to deliver the right information to end users no matter where they are – across locations, devices and carriers,” said Abhi Ingle, SVP for Big Data & Advanced Solutions at AT&T. “Zoetis is a great example of how different industries can use the bigtincan hub from AT&T and customize it for their unique needs.”

Zoetis is currently offering the VHub to equine veterinarians, who provide mobile care to farms via trucks. The animal health company plans to roll out the tool to other veterinary groups in the coming months.
