Winning the 2017 CODiE award for the Best Sales Enablement Platform meant a lot to us here at Bigtincan. The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) put together an incredible event at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco and our president, Patrick Welch, was on-hand to accept the award on behalf of our entire team. Now that the excitement has died down, we’re reflecting on what this award is all about and why we at Bigtincan are so proud to have won it.
SIIA has been running the CODiE’s since 1993 (and one could say even earlier from the previous Excellence in Software Awards), offering a way for the software industry to recognize the best software products on an annual basis. Through independent judging and demo evaluations, the CODiE’s not only highlight the best in software, but provide prospective customers with unbiased assessments to help them compare and contrast different solutions.
The CODiE’s have stayed true to that vision, which is why this award is one that the world’s leading software companies have always been extremely proud to win. Past winners include household names such as Adobe, Cisco, Curriculum Associates, Google, McGraw-Hill Education, Netsuite, Red Hat, Rosetta Stone, and of course Salesforce.com.
This year, the award for Best Sales Enablement Platform award was a milestone. It was not only a new category within the CODiEs, but it also demonstrates how sales enablement has matured from a market where only early adopters really got it, to a world where it’s recognized as a standard tool set for businesses large and small.
And the SIIA aren’t the only ones seeing this trend. A 2014 SiriusDecisions Sales Enablement Market and Trends Survey found that there has been a 69 percent increase in spending in sales enablement since 2013, due to the fact that over 70 percent of sales management see an ROI from deploying digital selling (and often strongly mobile oriented) sales tools.
So, for Bigtincan, to be nominated, shortlisted and then, ultimately, win this award is a wonderful recognition of the incredible work that our dedicated team has put into creating the Bigtincan Hub platform. It also provides further evidence that the market is maturing to a place where sales enablement tools like the Hub can really make a difference to the way every sales (and service) person gets their work done.
So, for those of you who have not yet had the chance to try Bigtincan Hub – click here – and give it a try. We would love to have the opportunity to show you why the SIIA independent panel of judges selected Hub for this award.
But most importantly, I want to send a special, public thank you to the engineering team at Bigtincan, who put in amazing dedicated hours, days and nights, to creating the Hub. Thank you again to you all. Winning this award is a validation of the work that you have done. It’s fantastic to celebrate this win with you, our employees.
